Africa Day Celebration in the Netherlands
On Tuesday, 26 May 2026, Ambassador Lambert Dushimimana joined fellow African Ambassadors accredited to the Netherlands and Belgium in organizing and celebrating Africa Day at Castle De Wittenburg in Wassenaar.
The celebration was attended by Sjoerd Sjoerdsma, Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, and brought together members of the diplomatic community, partners and friends of Africa.
The occasion provided an opportunity to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between Africa and the Netherlands, while celebrating African unity, diversity and shared aspirations.
Africa Day remains an important moment to reflect on the continent’s progress and partnerships, in the spirit of Agenda 2063.
